About XiaoQing "Queenie" Li

I'm an American (California to be exact) author who loves character writing. My stories tend to be focused on character interaction and development rather than poetic descriptions, making them lighter reads.

Though I've been writing since 2004, I never considered publishing my works until 2023. I look to go back to my old stories and polish them up so I can release them to the world.

I grew up surrounded by Japanese media, be it Japanese-made RPGs or anime. This influence is very apparent in my writing. When I write, I often imagine how the scenes would play out in an anime and hope the reader can envision the same. This makes my stories tend to read closer to Japanese Light Novels than traditional Western ones, but they still have a Western take. I feel this compromise between storytelling styles makes for a fresh reading experience that I hope you will enjoy.

This is most evident in my first published series, Scion of Seirin. The world and storytelling are heavily influenced by various JRPGs I've played over the years.

Ultimately, I just love to create characters and want to share them with the world. I hope you'll love my creations as much as I do.
